Wasps 2.0

Picture this, you return from you summer vacation to find the airport has been taken over by *Wasps*, not the Rugby Team but the kind that fly. This may sound like the making of a Hollywood horror movie but I assure you it’s not. Research by Joe Lewis, a U.S. Department of Agriculture entomologist and Glen Rains, scientist at the University of Georgia will enable not only Custom’s but Police Forces and other agencies to use trained wasps in the detection of drugs and explosives or anything that has a distinct sent.

The part I find most fascinating is after just five minutes training the wasps can work for as long as 48 hours.
